Future Science. From the Smart refrigerator to the second life of pimples

The European Researchers' Night registered a record of participants, at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento, in Lisbon (...) The role of partnerships in innovation was a common feature of the technology presented at the event. Francisco Melo, from the Institute for Systems and Robotics, IST, showed a robot developed in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Another prototype already wanders in the halls of CMU, a concept the researcher calls "symbiotic autonomy". The robot receive guests or helps at meetings.
