To leverage the knowledge of patients is another aspect that contributes to innovation in health. Pedro Oliveira, a researcher at the Catholic University and MIT, is responsible for Patient Innovation Project, a kind of a social network that brings together those who suffer or have suffered from serious diseases. The network - which benefits from a partnership between Catholic, MIT and the U.S. Carnegie Mellon University - opened yesterday.
