Táxi-Link: Modernizing Taxis in Portugal

A company created in the scope of the CMU Portugal Program, Geolink, presented their taxi modernizing solution, Táxi-Link, already at work in 13 different counties in Portugal. The system allows users to call a taxi and rate the service provided, but it is not limited to a smartphone app.

Geolink’s CEO and University of Porto faculty member, Michel Ferreira, was interviewed about the Táxi-Link service, which was highlighted on Portuguese network TVI's Jornal da Uma, the ratings leader news program in the country, on October 12th. It was also featured in two other news programs, Diário da Manhã and Notícias 24. The news was also broadcasted in Sic Notícias and Exame Informática (links not available).
