Ricardo J. Machado teaches in the area of software engineering and software management. He is a member of the Board of Studies of the PhD Program in Information Systems and Technology (PDTSI) and of the Board of Studies of the MSc Program in Information Systems Engineering and Management (MEGSI). He is also the Program Director of the Specialization Course (Post-Graduation) in Software Process Management and Quality (CFE-GQPS).
His research focuses on software engineering, namely on model-driven development, requirements engineering, and software quality. His current research projects focus on the development of multi-staged approaches in software product lines and on the integration of multi-standard models in software high maturity levels.
Machado holds Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in Informatics and Computer Engineering, both from the University of Minho, and a D.Eng. degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the University of Porto.
